Jac. de Vries Gesta, your trusted address since 1937!
The origin of Jac. de Vries Gesta was founded in 1937, when the Sterringa brothers started the company under the name GESTA.
This all happened in a building at the Dorpsstraat in the village Zuid-Scharwoude.
Activities at that time were making and installing street lighting, cable work, sport field lightning and installation work etc.
When there was a demand for electrical heating elements at that time, the elementfactory was also added here. In addition tot he tube elements, products such as duct heaters, air heaters, ovens, sterilizers, circulation heaters etc. were also made over the years
If there was a demand, Gesta tried to come up with a solution.
In the 1980s Jac. de Vries Infraroodtechniek has grown into a large customer of Gesta, and Jac. de Vries has taken over the company Gesta in 1994 from the Sterringa brothers.
Moved to Middenbeemster
In 1995 the company moved to Middenbeemster next to Jac. de Vries elektrotechniek and close to Jac. de Vries Infraroodtechniek in a new building. Here the company was better able to cope with the demand for professional solutions, and it was closer tot he other sister companies. Here Jac. de Vries Gesta further expanded the name to a renowned player in the market, and many heating elements and related equipment found their way to customers in the industry, food industry, shipping, air treatment industry etc.
